Red Hat Brings Industry-Leading Ansible Automation Platform to Microsoft Azure

Red Hat, Inc., the world's largest open-source software company, has announced the availability of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform on Microsoft Azure. It builds on Red Hat's hybrid cloud automation standard, which has been updated to reflect the changing reality of hybrid cloud computing. The partnership between Red Hat and Microsoft has resulted in a robust solution that allows clients to choose how they want to use automation to deliver any application, anywhere, with minimal overhead and complexity.

The power of cloud computing combined with the ease of a managed offering enables IT organisations to automate and extend their cloud swiftly. Red Hat and Microsoft customers don't have to worry about adopting and configuring an enterprise-class solution. Instead, they may immediately begin working on more sophisticated situations such as automated OS configuration, application provisioning, network automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and security orchestration.

According to an IDC report, “virtually (97%) of organisations see major barriers to their ability to effectively employ automation across their enterprise. Through 2023, many IT automation efforts will be delayed or will fail outright due to underinvestment in creating IT/Sec/DevOps teams with the right tools and skills. The end goal is to deliver consistent, coherent and cooperative automation at scale.”

Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform on Azure helps IT organisations perform these challenging tasks at scale while minimising user error. The integration with Azure services, including Azure compute, network and storage can further increase the ROI of automation, allowing customers to scale their IT operations.

The Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform on Azure enables enterprise IT teams to automate their hybrid cloud to achieve increased scale, speed, and standardisation. This frees up IT personnel to focus solely on developing automation solutions for a more efficient, flexible, and scalable organisation.

The latest version of Ansible Automation Platform added self-contained automation capabilities to deploy at massive scale across hybrid clouds and edge environments, while shifting automation more deeply into the application development lifecycle. Its flexible foundation, tools, services and capabilities offer a whole new level of customisation and control that expands the boundaries of what is possible for enterprises.
